The 12-Day Prodigal Prayer Mission
Posted on March 13th, 2011 20 commentsDo you have a child, parent, sibling, spouse, neighbor or friend who needs to strengthen their spiritual side? If so, the 12-Day Prodigal Prayer Mission Trip is for you. Designed by Charlie and Kathie Saari, committed intercessors who understand the heartbreaks and the victories of letting go of a loved one and trusting God when it is most difficult, The Prayer Mission guides you through 12 days of missional intervention on behalf of your favorite prodigal.
If you’re sick and tired of being sick and tired of the anguish of trying to keep hope alive, then sign up below. Beginning Tuesday, March 15, I will post The Prayer Mission goals for that day and my reaction to participating. I will do this for the entire 12 days ending March 26. This is one mission that you can do anywhere and that has no cost attached to it, so everyone can do it. Sign up now and let’s be accountable for one another in reaching out and making a difference one prodigal at a time.

I’m interested in joining this as my brother who is 25 needs prayer. Praise God one can chase 1,000; 2 can chase 10,000. There’s power when the saints pray!

Thanks, Yvette, my prodigal for this mission is my daughter, just about to turn 18.
The post for day one will appear early Tuesday morning. I will announce my comments for each day at #Tworship each evening.

I have three daughters who could be my prodigals (not to make a pun) I blame my unfaithfulness and self-seeking ways for the most part.( Being a bit of a prodigal myself. ) However, I am asking God to cover that and expose my weakness and their responsibility to respond to His call on their lives. Their ages are 35, 3,1 and 21 and they have all made commitments to God and I believe they are born again believers who have strayed. I am going to accept the mission and pray for them. Let’s see what God will do!

doing prison ministry, I have many ‘prodigals’ who need Jesus or need to come back to Him. as well as some extended family. thanks

I’m praying for my oldest daughter, about to become a teen in a few months. I’m also praying for the Prodigal Daughters who have not returned to Christ because they hide in fear and shame, victims of Pharisee thinking. Satan has them in bondage and they believe their sins are too great for healing. These Daughters of Eve are self destructive, depressed, hurting and in need of Jesus. Praying for these daughters to return home to the Father and praying that my own daughter does not stray off the path of walking by faith.

We have a great group already. I’ll announce this again through Monday night’s #Tworship and then we’ll start on Tuesday.

I would like to join…my entire family needs prayer. I would like prayer especially for my mom, dad, and brother. I love my family but it can be difficult dealing with them at times due to their constant negativity.

I’m joining in. My children are still seeking the Lord’s will for their life and I’ll pray they continue to do so, while agreeing in prayer for other prodigals I know and for your prodigals here as well.

Hi everyone,
I’ll be praying for my three daughters aged 29, 25, and 21. They are all believers who haven’t given God the reigns of their heart yet. They are making a lot of choices that don’t represent Him well, and are filling up their suitcases of baggage.
I love this idea Richard. It is so needed. Thanks for the encouragement and unity. Here’s a verse I declare regularly:
I do not work in vain, and my children will not be doomed to misfortune.
For I am blessed by the Lord,
and my children, too, will be blessed. Is. 65:23 -
Thank you Richard for your blog and the wonderful work you did with the Prodgial video for the 12 Day Prayer Mission.

A unified effort of Christians believing God can bring their prodigal home to Jesus. And He will.

Glad to join you all,
I have 3 children that I am praying for. Having been exposed to a very unhealthy faith environment as a child, I was very cautious with my kids. The confusion, doubts and questions I carried sent mixed messages to my children. Two have no interest whatsoever, and one has made a commitment, but needs much prayer and encouragement to grow in his faith.

I am praying His Word and His Word does not come back void.
Isaiah 55:11I have a prodigal daughter and her choices have divided our family members.
God is greater than the enemy and I am believing His power will destroy this stronghold of the enemy and we will be reconciled. Even today evidence is being seen with two of the family members coming together in oneness!!! Praise be to God! -
I would like to add my son…much love to you all!

Hi, I would like to join on your next prayer mission. I would like to pray for my husband of 31 years is in the wilderness. God is good and is working on him, but the enemy has a strong hold. Obstacles are in the way, but I know the Lord is powerful and can remove all obstacles that stand in the way.
-
Thanks, Kim. I’ve set it up so you can start any time and proceed through the 12-day mission for your husband. Spouses are a really big challenge.
If you check “Notify me of followup comments …” below, I’ll be able to interact with you as you go through each day.

A large group of us did this a while back but I’ve left it here so anyone can take the journey on their own.
