12 Things You May Not Know About This Prodigal
Posted on July 15th, 2009 6 comments- I am a former youth minister.
- I love languages. I speak English and French and read Greek.
- I am left-brained. I am mathematically inclined but not artsy at all.
- I memorized almost 500 verses of the Bible and 500 lines from Hamlet.
- I regularly share from my prodigal journey and God’s grace in local churches.
- God came to get me when I wasn’t seeking Him. Upon reading my account of this experience, others have now had God touch them through similar experiences.
- My brother and I saw a UFO when 6 and 5, respectively.
- I’ve had the same best friend since I was 4. I met him by throwing rocks at him.
- I was twice batting champion in high school baseball.
- I once saw an apparition.
- I love music, hence the “mc” in my Twitter and Facebook moniker “mcProdigal”.
- I type really fast. I took typing in high school because the class was all girls. Do the math.

Pic in #1 is me at 22, less than one year from the beginning of my long prodigal run.
Pic in #5 is me at the Smithsonian, I’m about 45 and near the end of my many years with a moustache.
Pic in #7 is my brother and I at about the age we saw the UFO.
Pic in #10 was chosen because it closely remembles the apparition I saw in my bedroom, standing next to my bed looking down at my sleeping wife. Notice that it looks less like something and more like an absence of something.

Loved this, I did not know most of this, Only the apparition because you spoke of it this week. Proud of you.

I like #12 because I was the only girl on the yearbook staff for an all boys school. ROFL

I came over to grab this post for our Tworship time and realized I never commented.
I love how God draws us, even when we aren’t looking for Him.
this is an awesome list…. but…There are so many MORE wonderful things that your followers would love to know – you should add a *few* more? hmmm?
